Aahan's parents stepped inside and I immediately slid off the bed. The surprise expression was clear on their faces when they found me with their son. Sudha aunty gave me a warm smile while uncle ; Mr. Prashant Sehgal just directed me a cold glare.

Okay, it's understandable. I could not just expect them to embrace me right away after whatever the charade of divorce we pulled in front of them. He warned us to think about our decision once again and said whatever we were going to do was wrong. But we didn't take his advice as seriously and ended up hurting each other.

Aahan held my hand and blinked his eyes, assuring me that he would handle them. I nodded my head and gave him a nervous smile.

"Aahan! I didn't expect this from you.", Sudha aunty cried once she reached Aahan and cupped his face in her palms. Her eyes were full of tears and there were dark circles under them. She might have been crying all night for her son's safety.
