My mother's appearance hurt me so much that I stopped doing all the work and living up to my responsibilities as the Alpha. How did she come across me? Why did the people I was in charge of let her in? Did she use fake love to trick them like she did with my dad? Where did she get the courage to come to my house after all these years and ask me to take her and my brother in? After going through so much pain and suffering. Does she think I'll be happy to see her? I had to get up when someone knocked on the door. I kept my eyes on the door because I thought the person knocking might be a friend of my mom's. My pack is even against me. Why would they let her in if they were not? The constant knocking on the door upset me. I was angry, so I gritted my teeth, swatted myself out of the chair, and walked to the door. Whoever it is must be sick of his or her life if he or she wants to mess with me.

I opened the door and grabbed the neck of whoever had the nerve to tell me what to do.
