"I can't believe this?" Marian says, signing. "There you are," Rose's voice says from behind. Marian stared at her, she had a smile at her, while her hands were on her waist, she would have come to tease her about the case, she eyed her. "What do you want?" she says, getting up furiously. There was no way, she would let her mock her about her marriage, even though she didn't have any words but she wouldn't let her win. "Woah, easy" Rose moved back, as Marian came really close to her, Gabby's mouth opened seeing Marian's reaction. "What do you want?" she says, gawking at her, Gabby held her back pulling her back to her chair. "Hey calm down" Gabby whispered to her, Marian rolled her eye at her while she took a deep breath. "Nothing, I just wanted to borrow your book" she cleared her throat, narrowed her eyes away from Marian, Marian stared at her trying to catch her gaze. "Oh" she blinked and turned over to Gabby, Gabby shook her head sipping her drink. She knew Marian
ONE WEEK LATER. "That's all for today! congratulations!" "Thank you sir!" the whole hall chorused."Finally I can't believe I'm a graduate!" Gabby says, sitting next to Marian. "Right! it's just amazing!" Marian says it's one of her dreams to be a graduate, finally, she was. "Marian?" Mrs. Kim called, she raised her gaze to her. "See me in my office," she says, "Yes ma" Marian replied. "Why does she want to see you?" Gabby asked, coming closer to her. "I don't know... how should I?" she says, rolling her eyes at her. "Whatever, let's go clubbing tonight!" "Yeah, I was supposed to say that," Faith says from behind. "I don't want to" Marian replied as she zipped her bag. "Why!" Faith raised her voice, holding her hands. "I have to go" she gets up. "How can you not be happy?" Gabby asked, she took a good scan at her. "Who says am not happy?" she laughed, holding her bag. "It's written on you," Faith says at the same time Gabby "No it's not" she laughed
"Oh my goodness!" A nurse says, staring at the little one in Marian's arms, he looked so cute. Logan stood in a distance, watching Marian and his baby, he couldn't move an inch to approach her. He stared at her as they placed him in her hands. "Wouldn't you say hi to your child?" the nurse says, looking at him. Logan swallowed and inhaled. He blinked so many times trying to make a step toward her. "Come on," she says, her voice weak and cracked, she raised her gaze at Logan, she could tell he was startled. "I guess you should give him some time" the nurse, Marian smiled at him, she took her gaze down immediately. He finally made his movements toward her, he could stop at a step he take, staring at the child, he cried over and over in Marian's arms, despite the fact she tried to make him calm. "Hey?" Logan came closer to Marian, rubbing her head slowly, Marian smiled at him, but took her gaze down immediately. "He's so cute isn't he?" she says, her eyes filled with tears
Marian keeps moving around due to the disturbance of her phone. "Ah!" she covers her ears with her pillow. It was so disturbing that she couldn't sleep; she hadn't set an alarm. Why would her phone be buzzing? She didn't have any lectures, she thought. She picked her phone up; it was a call. She picks it up, "Marian! get to school now!" Gaby yelled through the phone. "What, what's wrong?" she asked, waking up from her sleep. "Marian, don't tell me you are still sleeping?" Gaby asked. "What else should I be doing?" she replied as sleep covered her face. "We have English class right now!" "What?" she jumped up from her bed."Better hurry. I will buy you time," Gaby hangs up."What?" she picked up her towel and entered the bathroom. She comes out in a white towel, starts dressing, throws on a white shirt, gown and a long black coat, picks her nose, and wears a pink high sandal. She begins running to her lecture room, and she isn't leaving off campus, which is her only luck
Marian watched the car drive off. It was her first time conversing with any of her professors outside the lecture room. She was happy that he got to talk to her, "He's calm but nosy," she laughed and continued to her dorm. The following week Marian woke up as early as 6 am looking for what to wear, she didn't understand why she did that, but she decided to go for it since she was already up, she put on a pink Jordan with her black coat. She had only two coats, brown and black. Marian had a spot where she would sit and drink coffee before heading for lectures. Today she sat there looking without buying any coffee. Carried away in thought, she hadn't seen Logan enter the cafe, and when he saw her, he smiled.A minute after buying coffee, he approached her. "Marian?" He called, dropping a cup of coffee on the table. Marian looked out the window, lost in her thought, "Marian?" He tapped, and just then, she looked at him."Oh, my goodness!" She looked around and immediately covered her m
"Miss River?" he called. Gaby looked at her, and Marian was fast asleep."Gaby, wake her up," he said. Gaby smiled and gently raised her hand. "Can I answer for her?" She suggested, but Logan scowled."Wake her up," he said with his brows raised."But, you can already see her in class," she dragged.Logan quietly folds his hands across his chest, looking at her. His stare was deep and evil. Gaby felt goosebumps on her skin and immediately took her eyes off, nudging Marian to wake up. "What?" She groaned as saliva filled her lips."Miss River, the first rule of her class is no sleeping," he stated"Huh?" She glanced around, and the whole class was staring at her. Logan looked at her and shook his head gently. Her cuteness gladdened his heart, her hair slammed her face, and she struggled to remove them. She looked confused like she was trying to figure out where she was. "Since you are the last on my list, that would be all," he slammed the book, looking away. He sighed. The lecture
It was a long day at school. Marian returned to her dormitory after a pleasant conversation with Logan. He wasn't so bad to talk to, and she loved his scent and his eyes the most. It made her smile as she approached her dorm. Her birthday was in a few days after, she suddenly remembered, the cafe down the street offered a job, she said she was going to take a look but had forgotten."Tomorrow," she said as she climbed the stairs to her room. She had enough savings. The door opened, "Marian!" Ruby threw the book at her, Marian dodged, and the book landed outside. She looked back at Ruby.Ruby Hans— Her roommate, Ruby, had ginger hair and deep blue eyes. Her hair was packed in a messy ponytail, and she wore white shorts and a pink top."What?" She asked in a low tone."How dare you mess up the room?" Ruby glared at her. Marian sighed and closed the door after her."I was in a hurry, and I had to look-" "Hurry? I returned, and the whole room was so messy. Are you insane!" Ruby yelled.
Two days later, Marian was absent from school, she hadn't been near the school, and it was difficult for Gabby to reach her. It troubled her knowing her situation.Gabby stood in front of Ruby's door, trying her again, hoping it would ring, but it sang repeatedly, not available. Then she decided to knock."Marian?" She called and immediately opened the door. "Mar- Oh, you must be Gabby?" She guessed.Gabby ignored trying to look inside, but Ruby blocked her, and she looked at her. "Is Marian not around?" Gabby asked."Huh? Oh, I thought you-" Fear immediately gripped her eyes like a dark curtain. Ruby was very transparent to read."Where's Marian?" Gabby pushed the door, leaving her hand banging against the wall."I don't know. Marian left the room even in the rain. I tried convincing her to stay, but..." Ruby replied, her voice shaking."Where did she go?" Gabby asked, looking back at her."I don't know," she said with her eyes popping out and her hands folded."What happened?" Gabby
