Grace's POV

“Hey,” I smiled as I walked into the kitchen. Adrianna was preparing lunch.

“Hey, you should rest. Don said—”

“I'm okay. Davis is worried about nothing” I cut her off. I was always lazing around because Don said this and Don said that.

“But you're pregnant, Grace. Don said—”

“Adrianna…”

“Don said the pregnancy is a rare one and any slight mistake can lead to you losing the baby. We cannot afford to put yours and the baby's life at risk”

I rolled my eyes. She was saying all this because I picked up the vegetables and wanted to get busy. What's wrong with standing in one spot and slicing vegetables?

“Don't mind your Don. Adrianna, I was with Helen's pregnancy, and I did all I needed to do to make sure I earned money for myself and my child. In the rain and under the sun, I struggled, but I didn't lose the baby, so what makes you think we'll lose this one for just cutting vegetables, huh?”
