“Write down the names of those who had gone to that meeting with you”

He froze, he was about to speak but when he saw what Vincent had done, he quickly took the pen and began writing.

I had crossed my heart not to be shocked by whoever it was that I found on that list. Being betrayed shouldn't affect me, especially when their betrayal had caused my position.

When he was done, he dropped the pen while I picked up the paper. There were twenty-seven of them, all together. It's a good one.

“Don… Davis, I swear, I wanted to leave the… meeting” he stuttered, but I shook my head.

“No, you didn't plan to leave. You were not interested in leaving. Instead, you were interested in seeing me leave as soon as possible” Davis smirked

“No… No” he shook his head.
