KATE and Jan stayed at the farm for two days. She received a call that the board meeting would push through, so they had to go back to the city. He promised that they would be back and spend more quality time together. Now, she was inside her office and finally the new CEO of her father’s company.
“Congratulations, Katherine.” Jan wrapped his arms around her and lifted her feet off the ground.
She squealed when he suddenly turned around, making her snake her arms around his neck.
“Jan, please… put me down.” She chuckled. “We’re inside the office.”
“The door is closed, though.” He stopped and kissed her deeply on the lips. “And I locked it.”
Kate laughed and pressed their foreheads. “That’s quite naughty, don’t you think?”
“Hmm… I don’t think so.”
