"If I had answered, would that bother you?"

"You said it yourself, I'm not your secretary. I'm nothing to you." I spoke before turning my back, walking to the door, and leaving the room.

I opened Todd's messages as I descended the stairs. The signal was terrible where we were. The first one said, "Hey, why aren't you picking up?" And the next one: "Are you still in France? I have a surprise."
