Chapter 33 -
Dingo / Davin POV
I went inside. My heart pounded painfully as I looked at her. Bruised and bloodied she lay there in the guest room Brenda had set up for her. I should have been there. I knelt down beside her bed and took her hand.
I am so sorry Danny. I have failed you twice now when all I have ever wanted to do was love and protect you.
Davin. She is our mate. If you mark her she will heal faster. Dane said.
I cannot without her permission, I have to know that is what she wants too. And yes Dane, I know she is our mate. How else could I have felt her pain from so far away? There is no way that she projected that distance. I want to mark her, but I will not unless she wants it too and it is safe for her. I choked as told him.
Brenda brought me some lunch, I told her I’d eat but I really wasn’t hungry. I wanted to be the first thing Danny sees when she wakes up. I want her to know that I am here.

Danny POV I opened my eyes. I wasn’t in my room. I felt weak and sore but I didn’t hurt. “Ah, Good morning sweetie.” A deep male voice rumbled from the corner. I blinked as I spotted Nick sitting at the small table across the room. “Santa is that you?” I teased. “Well, Dingo is in a world of hurt if you wake up this sassy every morning.” He said and let out a laugh and winked at me. I missed that sound. “Well then, I’m off to the North Pole.” He gruffed as he let himself out. “Davin, why was Nick in my room?” I was sure he had a valid explanation but it was still just so unexpected. “Also, where am I?” I asked. Davin came over to me. “Well, you are doing much better.” He said and kissed me. “We are at the Pack House.” He said.

Dingo/Davin POV I had just got done meeting with Brad and Marcus, buying Danny just a bit more time when I heard Nicks rolling laugh come from her room.
