"This is it, boss. I'm confident that with this, we can get end her manipulations and deceit once and for all!"

I hummed as Collins expressed his delight at the voice recording I had handed over to him.

I sat in an ice cream parlour with Mia, who was the reason I was there. She had a big bowl of ice cream in front of her, and she was talking to another child whom we had met there as well.

The little boy had looked tattered and poor as he stood beside his mother, who was trying to get them to leave because she could not afford an ice cream for him.

Mia had insisted that I bought him a cup of ice cream as well, and now, she had a new temporary companion.

"I need you to work on it and get it out there as soon as possible," I ordered.

I felt overwhelmed by a great drive to clear the mess Joanne was making of my name.

I also felt a sense of relief at the evidence I now had against Joanne to show Emily, who had refused to believe me.
