The fact that he and Doris hadn't seen one other in a few days caused him to feel a great deal of absence for her. Because of a significant issue, he was forced to give her permission to stay here. He believed that Wynn would watch after her properly, but in reality, Wynn is useless. Riffen cast his eye over Doris' parents. It had been a few days since the last time that she and he had seen one another. While still firmly holding her in his arms, Riffen questioned her in a way that was quite unexpected:
