CHAPTER 2 : YOU LIKE ME?

YANIE'S POV: 

"Mommy, mommy is so pretty!" Viela's eyes were obviously still sleepy while walking out in our room but when she saw that I was dressed well her eyes widened. 

I know she already knew about where I will  be going, none other than to the company where she did the interview for me. I smiled at her when she approached me. I laughed softly when she turned around to look at my whole body. She gave me an approved sign and hugged my foot after that.

"Mr. Sebastian really suits to be your husband." She twinkled her eyes before running to Trina when my expression changed.

My eyes followed her with a glare. 

"Viela!" I can't stop myself from raising a voice calling her name but she was just laughing at me. "I said stop saying that!"

Trina almost choked because of Viela's sudden jump on her while she was eating, but even so, Trina's face showed that she was happy with what my daughter was saying, she even looked at me teasing the same as Viela. I rolled my eyes at them and just got my heels on the floor to wear it. I'm not in a hurry because I still have a long time. The email that I received from ma'am Amanda indicated that this day is not my first day, I only need to go to the company to give the added requirements that they need to evaluate. 

Since we got back to the apartment, Viela couldn't get Mr. Sebastian's name out of her mouth and Mr. Sebastian will be my husband. I was baffled because someone was trying to court me before but she didn't agree, she was even mad at them but how come she likes Mr. Sebastian that quick? She just met him in one day!

"You really like Mr. Sebastian to your mom?" Trina asked, tolerating about Viela's silly imagination. "Is he that handsome? Omygod, I want to meet him too!"

I saw in the mirror in front of me how Viela nodded at Trina's question. "He is not just handsome, he is rich! I really want Mr. Sebastian for me but I insist on giving it to my mommy."

Viela's gaze squirted on me and the way she looked at me like I needed to be thankful for that. "You must be thankful mommy because I gave my crush on you with all my heart, so sad we will not have a happy ending because my mommy exists."

Viela covered her chest with her two hands where her heart is and made a sad face. I closed my eyes with a hard breath because of what Viela did while Trina almost broke her neck laughing at my daughter. I don't want her to think that love and forever doesn't exist because of my past experience, I don't want her to have fear like me to be in love again. But if this continues I will stop her from watching happy ending stories. Viela was so easy to have a crush on because of that! Thinking that everything is like a fairytale.

"You are really so generous!" Trina silly pinched her squeezy cheeks, so proud about what my daughter said. "Next time give aunt Trina too."

I just let them talk about Mr. Sebastian. They will tease me more if I act affected by it. I took my bag and phone inside the room to say goodbye to them. 

Trina is having a rest from her job for this whole week so I have a companion by taking care of Viela while I was not here. My parents have an important thing to do so I can't leave my daughter to them but usually when Trina and I both have work, Viela is left with my parents. My mother was pushing me that I should hire a maid to take care of Viela but I can't, I don't have trust in anyone, it was so scary in our situation.

"I need to go, don't be so hard headed to Aunt Trina, okay?" I approached Viela to kiss her, who was now in front of the TV watching. 

She agreed and gave me a thumbs up. "Got it mommy! But..."

She stopped watching TV for a while and she got something in her pocket before getting my hand to make me hold it. It was a normal paper with a hidden message inside. I was about to open it in front of her but she stopped me.

"It was for Mr. Sebastian!" She got it from my hand and instead put it on my bag. "Promise me you won't open it and give this to him, okay?

Even though I don't want it to do her favor, as always when Viela wanted something she was pouting her lips and begging me with her cuteness.

"How can I say no with that face?" I breathed out and kissed her head before nodding at her. "I need to go then, be good to aunt Trina. I love you."

"I love you too mommy!" She kissed me on my cheeks. "You promise mommy, promise is promise huh!" 

"Yes baby," I nodded and kissed her for the last time. 

I stood up after that to let her watch her favorite fairytale movie before going straight to Trina to say goodbye. She was washing the plates when I found her in the kitchen. I got her attention by knocking the wooden wall beside where she was washing the dishes. When I got her attention I smiled at her.

"I need to go." I waved my hand at her and didn't wait for her to respond anymore before moving out. As much as I know she saw me out I am okay, she already knows about taking care of Viela for this day. 

Good thing because there was no traffic, a reason why I arrived at the company right away. I looked up to see the company name.

"Padrino Sebastian Corporate," I read it in so much praise. "I really can't believe I was hired here because of my daughter. She is really a lucky charm for me."

I entered the company after a long look outside and went straight to the elevator and pressed the 6th floor button. It was written in the email I received that I need to go straight to the office of Mr. Sebastian on the 6th floor because I will give him the added requirements I bought today. I was inside on the elevator alone when I took my phone inside of my bag that it was ringing. I answered it when I saw my mom's name on the screen. My mom already has five missed calls that I only saw right now. 

"Has something happened? Why did you take so long to answer the phone?" My mom's worried voice when I answered it. "If Viela is okay? My granddaughter? Are you both okay?"

She already got trauma too so I can't blame her.

"Mom, I'm okay." I said to make her calm. "Don't worry about us, me and Viela are okay. Actually I am at a company right now. The reason why I didn't answer your previous call, I need to give my added requirements because I was hired as a secretary."

I heard my mom breath in relief on the other line when she heard that from me.

"Then that's good, but it was bad too because you really want to move out in our company. You don't want to be with us? You are leaving me? I miss you more now, the reason why I called too because I want to talk to Viela, I miss her so much." Mom spoke. 

I smiled because even though mom wasn't by my side, I knew that she was already pouting because of my decision. Viela got the cute pout of her grandmother. I have a job in our company but I want to try to explore for myself the way that I was not thinking that I was treated more special. I want to have an achievement in the way that I know I worked hard for it. 

"Mom, of course not, I will still be at your side even if I will work in different companies, I will never leave you." The elevator opened so I moved out and planned to end the call. "I need to take down the call mom but I will call you later when I get home so you can talk to Viela, I love you."

"Okay, take care, I love you more sweetie." She responded and insisted on ending it before I did.

I looked at my wrist watch after I put my phone in my bag. When I saw that I still had 15 minutes, I looked for a comfort room to pee because a sudden nervousness went through my whole body. This is my first time meeting Mr. Sebastian and the fact that I know he did meet my daughter first makes me more nervous. I know my daughter well. She is talkative and her imagination was so high. I have a fear that Viela said something hilarious to him. After I peed, I just added lipstick to my lips and adjusted my ponytail and when I was already satisfied with my looks, I went out.

I was putting my lipstick on my bag while walking when I felt a hard push at my back that made me sit on the floor because I lost control. My face almost sank to the floor, luckily I blocked my hand to stop it. My butt hurt but I still managed to look mad at the person behind this incident. I stood up and pointed at him with so much anger. 

"Hey! How dare you?! Are you blind so you can't see me? My head almost hit the ground and it was your fault!" I shouted and I noticed how all the employees who were here on the 6th floor started to look at us but I didn't care. "And I just want to remind you this is not a park for you to skateboard! Get out in front of me or I will throw you out!"

I already talk a lot but I don't see any fear in his expression. Instead he took off his shades and turned back his slightly wet hair with his other hand while watching me carefully. I didn't give up and looked at him from head to toe too. He didn't look like an employee because he was only wearing a white men's shorts and a black shirt that fit in his masculine body, and wore a black simple but elegant black rubber shoes. Obviously he didn't come here to work and so I have more power for being mad at him. 

How come that the guard let this kind of man move in on this fabulous company? He looked like an outsider.

My face turned into confusion when a little smirk came out on his lips.

"Viela's mother, am I right?" He stepped on the edge of his skateboard to make it up and carried it with his left hand while his stare was still on me. 

How did he know that? I don't know him! I felt a sudden strange feeling in this man. Did he come here to follow me? I step back and so I can run quickly if ever he suddenly pulls me.

"How did you know?" I tried to be calm and not let the fear inside me win. "Tell me! Who are you?"

Instead of answering me, he pointed at my back. I looked at it and I saw Ma'am Amanda's nervous face approaching us. I took that opportunity to approach ma'am Amanda and pointed at him. 

"Let him out here, he is strange. I think he is following me, look at her suit, it is obvious that he is not one of your employees here." I report like a kid of ma'am Amanda. "Please report it to the guard, he looks like an outsider and not a safe person." 

Other employees started to sit down while others were laughing. Why are they laughing? This is a serious matter if this man really follows me! Ma'am Amanda was trying to persuade me to stop talking but I didn't until she held my both hands. That made me stop and wait for her to talk.

"He is really not an employee here... because he is our boss, he is Mr. Sebastian." She whispered, biting her lips and I know Mr. Sebastian heard that. 

Oh my god, I lost!

I slowly looked at him. He doesn't have any expression on his face now. Viela will be mad at me if she knows about this, I already saw her glaring in my mind. I covered my forehead when ma'am Amanda let go of my hand. My whole face went red because of embarrassment.

"I'm sorry Mr. Sebastian I don't know...." I bowed, apologizing.

I thought he would shout at me and tell me I was fired but that was not what he said.

"Go into my office." He said and passed me holding his skateboard to walk to his office. 

Ma'am Amanda patted my shoulder and pushed me to walk and gestured to me to follow Mr. Sebastian. Even though my body was against it, I followed. I was just quite following him from behind, I am three steps away from him. I want to give up already even though Mr. Sebastian didn't say anything yet but I can't, not only because Viela would be angry because this is one of the biggest companies that many people want to enter. This is a big opportunity for me so I deserved to eat the embarrassment I made for now. 

He just stared at me with no trace of expression on his face since we entered his office. I was standing while he was already sitting in his swivel chair, like he was waiting for me to speak first or have a first move. He was holding a pen and he was moving it around in his palm over and over while his other hand was in his cheeks. Lifting the weight of his whole face.

"These are the added requirements that ma'am Amanda emailed to me sir..." I walk slowly as I put the envelope on his table.

I breathed a sigh of relief when his stare went to the envelope I put down. He opened it and looked at it one by one. I saw how he was carefully checking it. When he stopped looking at it, he put down the pen too and now gave me all his attention which caused me to swallow again.

"Yaina Francia...." He pronounced my name with so much passion. 

Yes, but Haraya Cariliaza is more beautiful. Just someone destroyed that name of mine, a reason why I can't use it anymore. 

"I thought you already forgot to talk after you knew that I would be your boss." He chuckled and my eyes widened and couldn't answer him when he started to take off his shirt and wipe his body using a towel that he got under his table. How dare him to take off his shirt in front of me? My eyes can't go out to his masculine body not until he coughs. That made my sense back. 

"I'm really sorry Mr. Sebastian." My whole face felt hot seeing him naked on the upper part but still managed to stand straight and explain what I said and why I reacted like that. "But I just want to explain my side Mr. Sebastian, if ever you're in my situation you will understand why I react like that, you accidentally bump me that caused me to make me sit on the floor. My head almost hit the floor sir, it was so unfair if I am the only one to apologize for that incident."

I was expecting that he would realize but no.

"I never apologize to people." He simply said like he doesn't care about what I am saying.

I suddenly felt annoyed, if before it was embarrassment now it's not. I didn't talk, instead I gave him a fake smile and hid my hands at my back which was now clenched fist. 

"You mad?" He asked when he noticed how I greeted my teeth. The way his little smile curves to his lips makes me more irritated, he was like playing with me.

"No sir, I am so happy." I did my best to say it with energy and a smile. "Can I know now when my first job is Mr. Sebastian?"

I want to end it, please just tell me and so I can go home. 

"Don't be so quick." From sitting, he stood up to sit on the table and stare at me closely. "By the way, are you giving me something? 

I frowned. What he was expecting me to give him. I swallowed when he moved his face closer to me, our lips would touch each other if I will make a small wrong move. Omygod!

"What do you mean?" My foot couldn't stop shaking a little when I stepped back away from his face but not making it obvious that I was shy about how he looked and how close it was.

But I failed, he looked at my feet with a smirk.

"Viela..." When his gaze turned on me again he said my daughters name and got his phone.

He fixed himself the way he sat which made me relieved. 

"Your daughter is really smart." He spoke. 

My brow curved and a breath of disbelief came out on me when I looked at the screen of his phone. I don't know that Viela used my account to message the page of their company on their website , which is the reason for the staff to forward it to him. The account name was mine but she introduced herself as my daughter.

When I read the message I already knew that it was really Viela, I even heard her saying it even though it was a message.

I have inquiries! Hello Mr. Sebastian! This Viela, your first love mwah! I gave a letter to my mom, get it to her if she forgot to give it to you. Have a nice day my happily ever after!

He put his phone back in his pocket when he saw that I already read it all. When I looked at him, he was already waiting for me to give it so I took it for my bag and gave it to him. He opened the letter in front of me and he laughed when he totally read it, the reason why I was looking at the letter he was holding with a question on my face. What does she write? Why does Mr. Sebastian laugh at it?

"You like me?" Mr. Sebastian asked, making my whole face turn red when I looked at him. "She said you like me."

He opened the letter using his two hands to make me read it. I closed my eyes tightly and regretted not throwing away that letter before I came here. She writes that I like Mr. Sebastian even though it's not true! I covered my whole face and bowed because I couldn't look at him anymore. This is such a lot of embarrassment this day I can't take it anymore!

"That was not true Mr. Sebastian, I don't even know you. I'm sorry for that silly personality of my daughter." I apologize and still can't look at him.

I heard him chuckle before I felt that she started to go back in his swivel chair which caused me to look up at him. 

"Your first work will be tomorrow and I want you to take Viela here at the company while you are working, that was your last requirement." Mr. Sebastian said in a bossy way.
