As Peyton and I rushed home, we came to the realization that… we had no way of contacting Luke or Michael. We didn’t know their phone numbers, we couldn’t get to their house, and there was literally nothing we could do. It was very possible we would never see them again and the thought of that hit me a lot harder than it should have.

‘Peyton?’ I stopped, she didn’t realize at first but when she did, she came back to me, ‘What if we never see them again?’ I asked, but she shook her head.

‘We will’. How was she so sure and confident?

‘We won’t! They could be anywhere by now and if they had sense, they would be long gone!’ let's be honest, they probably had some weird protocol or plan in place if the Police ever found out about them, that would be the smart and logical thing.

‘Just.. come on’. She told me, pulling on my arm as we continued with our walk back to our house…
