The Questioning

I took another large swig of coffee.

But Teresa wasn’t nearly done.

“You dirty little ho. I’m so jealous!” She eyed me from head to toe with renewed respect. “So what’s he like.”

“Outside of work?”

“That too. But I meant in the sack.”

“Relentless.”

“To which?”

“Both.” I grabbed my coffee and headed from the Break Room, deciding I couldn’t do this.

Too much. Too much!

“Oh, I freaking knew it...I should’ve tapped that.”

I groaned aloud. “You never go out, Terese. You spend all your time with your son.”

“Which means I have to live vicariously somehow.” She whispered to my back as she was on my heels out the doorway. “You have to tell me everything.”

“No, I do not.”

“Oh, yes you do.”

Why does she make that sound like a threat.

“I’m calling you tonight to ask questions. You better answer this time or I’m asking him directly.”
