CH 28: Good Bye

John’s POV

The cold air was piercing our skin even though we were both wearing thick two-layer jackets and gloves. Elsa looked gloomy and lackluster. I understood her feelings. There must be a lot of things still going on in her mind. However, there was nothing we could do. I had to send her away from Maldiva immediately before mom found out about her pregnancy or she would kill my baby. For her, it was enough that Jason had made a mistake, and she had told me not to make a similar mistake.

While waiting for my friend to arrive, I straightened the jacket that covered Elsa’s skinny body. “You should eat more. Take good care of yourself and our baby. If you need anything, tell me.”

She nodded as she cried. Her situation saddened my heart. Because of my mistake, she had to bear all this alone.
