Lizzy’s POV

He had a surprised look on his face. Then, he took out a document and gave it to me. “Please, read it.”

I took the document and read it. Suddenly, my hand became weak, and the document fell to the floor. Many questions filled my mind until my chest felt tight and I didn’t realize that clear liquid was pouring down my face.

“I’m sorry I took you by surprise. But that’s the fact. You’re just like Jason, who was adopted by foster parents. It’s just that your past is not known. And that’s what makes it difficult for me to accept your presence in our family,” he said.
