CH 65: Was It a Mistake?

Lizzy’s POV

“Come on, let’s go in,” Jason said, taking Anya’s hand. I walked beside him while trying to smile at the Minister and Jason’s younger sister. However, the Minister didn’t smile back at me, he just silently looked at me, which made me wonder, while Jason’s little sister smiled back at me. She looked cute and friendly. I hope what I was thinking was right.

“Dad, this is Lizzy Ford, my wife. And this is Anya, my daughter, and my baby boy named Harry,” Jason said.

“Welcome, Lizzy. And for you, little girl, Aunt Hannah has something. Would you like to come with her for a moment?” the Minister asked. Then, Hannah extended her hand to Anya, and without hesitation, Anya immediately welcomed her hand. They both entered the house.

“Let’s go in. Dinner is ready,” the Minister invited us.

Jason looked at me with a smiling gaze. His gaze said as if I could rest easy now because his family accepted my existence, so I had nothing to worry about. At least that was the meaning I caught in
