In a daze, Shannon sat back in her chair.

She muttered to herself, "Divorced? He actually got divorced ... Then why does he still—"

Why did he still want to break up with her?

After a momentary daze, Shannon was suddenly filled with hope.

Smiling, she stood up and swayed her slender figure.

"Chelsey, thank you for telling me such an important thing. This meal is on me. Enjoy your meal. I'll take my leave now, bye."

Shannon patted Chelsey on the shoulder and left the scene.

Chelsey had no intention of eating the food Shannon had ordered. She went to the adjacent room to dine with Sandra.

After listening to Chelsey's narrative, Sandra, with a mouthful of grilled lamb chop, widened her eyes. She mumbled unclearly, "Are you saying Timothy sent someone to injure Shannon's hand?"

"Yeah, that's what Shannon said. But I don't think Tim is that kind of person."

In Chelsey's eyes, Timothy was an upright and kind-hearted person who wouldn't resort to such actions.
