Chapter 37

As the first light of dawn filtered through the window, I blinked awake, my body still heavy with sleep as I struggled to make sense of my surroundings. And then, as the fog of unconsciousness began to lift, I realized that I was not alone.

Agatha sat beside me, her expression one of concern as she watched me stir. "Good morning, Viktor," she greeted, her voice soft and gentle as she reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from my forehead. "How are you feeling?"
