Chapter Seventy-Six.

“Isabella.”

Resting his head against her door, he called her name. Leonardo knocked a million times but there was no response and then his hands fell around the door knob and it lightly gave way. There was a creaking steady noise but that wasn’t what scared him.

It was the fact that he stood face to face with an empty room—

—the kind that resonated a disturbing energy, neatly tidied bed and dusted shelves, barely any piece of clothing around nor personal belongings. Isabella’s bag was gone and so was she and when Leonardo halted, his heart shuddered in his chest.

“Sir” Catching his breath, he turned around to where Tessa called him and he pointed behind him with an arch between his brows. “Where is she—i was about to call her for dinner and i walked in and it’s empty” He tried to calm his shaky voice and he pushed a hard lump down his throat.
