34. Farewell

After the events of that night, when Lucas deliberately teased Deasy and left the game hanging, the man didn't apologize in the slightest. He didn't even appear once, let alone call or send a short message. It's been more than a week, and Lucas hasn't shown his prominent nose.

You could say that Deasy was starting to feel lost. How Lucas used to visit, accompany, and even give her attention every morning and evening. He'd feed her and make sure she was full. And now? The man had disappeared from the scene.

Even though every morning and evening, Deasy still received food deliveries, it wasn't delivered directly by Lucas as usual but through a courier or delivery service.
