Lucas had been looking around from side to side for a while, scanning every corner of the room in an attempt to find Deasy. For whatever reason, tonight he really hoped that she would be present at the office celebration party.

However, after nearly thirty minutes of searching, Lucas still hadn't found Deasy anywhere. He wasn't sure if she hadn't arrived yet or if she deliberately chose not to attend the party tonight.

In truth, Lucas felt guilty. Lately, due to being so busy with work, he hadn't been able to visit Deasy as usual. Yet, he had promised to take care of her, protect her, and look after her during her pregnancy.

However, even though he couldn't take care of her directly, Lucas still made an effort to send and ensure that Deasy had her daily meals. He hoped that after all his work was done, he could visit and accompany her as before.
