Thaddeus frowned slightly. "Do you like comparing yourself to her?"

"My hubby is divorcing me for his sister-in-law. Who wouldn't want to make comparisons?" she retorted.

Thaddeus' expression changed slightly. He took a step forward, and Jessamine found herself blocked at the corner of the elevator.

"What did you just say?" he asked.

Jessamine blinked and looked up at him. "I didn't say anything wrong, did I? Your wife's sister is your sister-in-law."

Thaddeus swallowed, then said again, "Repeat the first two words you said."

Jessamine blushed for a moment, thinking that this scumbag still wanted to take advantage of her. Fortunately, the elevator opened.

"Can you let me through? This is my floor," she pointed out.

Thaddeus glanced at the number on the elevator wall, then said, "Sorry, this isn't my floor."

Jessamine retorted, "I said my floor, not yours. Let me out."
