Mateo.

I’m sick and weary of this pack stuff. I’m at my office organizing some paperwork. My hands are entwined in my hair as I look exhausted from all of this. It is quite tiresome and time-consuming. I’m missing my mate. I haven’t slept in the same bed with her for three weeks. Before I consider seeing her, I need to finish all of my work. Gosh, this is too fucking much. I’ve been ignoring all of my work while I’ve been playing around and flirting with my queen. Working now seems to be a pain in the ass. Someone knocks on my door, causing me to startle out of my thoughts. I raise my head to see who it is; it is Josh.

“You are here, Josh,” I say calmly, caressing my neck.

“You seem tired, my king,” he observes.

“Yes, Josh, I am worn out, but what can I do? I have to do this on my own. This is my job.”

“I think you need some rest, my king. You’ve been working constantly for three weeks.”

“I’m not going to slack off again. If I wish to return to my queen, I need to do all of my tasks.”
