Evan slammed his cup on the table, left over tea sloshing and spilling everywhere.

“You don’t say that, okay? No hybrid lives beyond the first fifteen years of their life. Cruel fate. I saw the hybrids where I lived. The pseudo-academy leaves them more confused than the outside world could. Your age might give you an insight we don’t have, old man, but dont for a minute think we are innocent. Me, Mikhail or Noah.”

With that, he slammed the door mumbling something about needing fresh air.

“How have your nightmares been Vanessa?”

She took a moment to collect her thoughts on an abrupt change in the topic.

“Not so frequent. You know, they have evolved. I was always confused whether what I saw was happening, had already happened. But now it’s almost like watching a reel from distance. I have stopped believing them to be true. You know, after everything.”

Silas nodded, “I know. But tell me, does anyone else know anything about this?”
