“Xan, are you okay?”

“Xander say something,”

“Come on man, you can’t blank out on us, say something, anything at all.” They called out to me, trying to get me to snap out of my reverie. I fell into a trace after I went through that damn file. Now I’m thinking that it would have been better if I’d just listened to him the first time and left that damn file alone.

How do I begin to investigate this matter after I just professed my love to her. Where do I even begin to ask the questions that are troubling my mind right now. It’s as if the past keeps pulling me back. No matter how I go or where I go, the past keeps catching up to me. Just when I decided to move on with Heather, I discovered that she had a deep secret that could be the key to finding my dead wife’s murderers.

If I want to find out the truth, I need to retrace her steps and find out how she arrived at this particular location. I need her full cooperation and I need the Alpha's help too. I know she’ll listen to m
