Chapter 58

Conrad's POV

I squinted my eyes as I watch Atasha in the sniper scope.

I clenched my jaw and swallowed hard when she started removing her clothes.

The thought that some snipers must be seeing her body as well clouded my thoughts and it made me fucking mad.

But I have to keep my cool because if I snapped they might find out my real identity.

I focused my eyes on Atasha. She is smiling widely while her body is soaked in the water.

She looks so happy and I now understand why she chose to leave, I can't give her this kind of life no matter how hard I try.

I let out a deep breath and kept on watching her but after a while, she started drowning.

Without any hesitation, I left my spot and run towards her.

Fear consumed me when I saw her pale face and it looks like she fell unconscious.

"Atasha!" I called her name in panic as I carefully lay her on the sand.

Atasha slowly opened her eyes. A tear fell on her cheeks then she slowly reached for my face.
