Thankfully, I didn’t have to do the famous walk of shame.

Well, I did it but no one was around to see me.

When I went back in my room and got dressed properly, I was tempted to stay in but the growling of my stomach had me dashing down the stairs to the kitchen.

It was five so it was not dinner time yet and I’d missed breakfast and lunch. “Are there any leftovers?” I asked as I walked in, stopping in my tracks when I saw that Debbie was in the kitchen talking to Marina.

I felt betrayed.

Both by Maxim and Marina.

“Oh hey, Bri.” Marina turned to look at me. “You’ve been out a while so I kept your plate for you.”

It was a nice deed but she was just talking to Debbie. Debbie was a bitch and all I could focus on was her. She snorted at Marina’s words. “What? Did the boss fuck her into oblivion?”

“Fuck her?”

“Look at her neck.”
