“Princess Jilliannah.”

“Hi. You must be Barbara.”

“Yes, ma’am. When you called, I thought something was wrong.”

“Something is wrong, but I think you can help me fix it.”

“Yes, ma’am. I’ll try.” She stepped aside. “Please come in.”

I followed her into her living room and sat on the couch across from the chair she sat in. I folded my hands in my lap before getting down to business.

“As you know, Jarren and I are getting married in a few days.”

“Yes. Everyone’s ready to see it.”

“Well, I have a slight problem. I don’t have a flower girl.”

“I don’t see how-”

“I’d like Kinley to be my flower girl.”

“Oh. Well, she told me she’d talked to you in the café. I didn’t believe her until you called.”

“Your entire family will also receive an invitation to the wedding.”

“If you don’t mind me asking, why Kinley?” Barbara questioned.

“She’s a sweet girl. I’d like her to be there.”

“I’m sure she’d like it.”

“Is she here?” I asked.

“No, she should be back in about an hour.”

“Where is she?
