Chapter 40

I was left bewildered and frowned upon hearing his loud laughter. Did what I say to him sound funny? For Pete's sake, I was just telling the truth.

I gazed at him in bewilderment. I looked at him directly in the face and focused only on his laughing expression, avoiding eye contact with his popsicle stick.

He kept on laughing, not minding the anger in my stare or the heavy rain pouring outside. He only stopped when I burst out laughing as well.

"Funny?" I sarcastically asked while looking at his damn funny face.

He stopped laughing, looked at me with raised eyebrows, and laughed again.

I unconsciously touched my face, thinking I might have something on it, causing him to laugh at me.

I glared at him before raising an eyebrow. At this point, he was holding his stomach while laughing, maybe because his stomach hurt from laughing.

It served him right to have a stomachache from what he did to me earlier. He closed the door on me, and when he was not satisfied, he locked it, so I couldn't
