34. An Old Friend

The moment Aarhaan agreed to that condition, I was surprised, but then, I realised that I had to live with that now.

I had to understand that now my life would be like this and as my parents told me, I had to accept it, but I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't accept this as my life.

But still, having no other way, I had to do that. And then, my life became monotonous. I had to wake up early in the morning, prepare for breakfast and lunch and wait for Arhaan to leave for the office. When he left for the office, I had to go on with the household chores like cleaning and laundry. I had to wash his dirty clothes and everything and then prepare dinner. He would return home, have his dinner and we would go to sleep. I didn't argue with him and tried my best to do everything that he says so that he doesn't get angry, and ended up doing something that I never want him to do.

But leaving Alcohol and Cigarettes was something really tough for him. He used to remain
