She really was arrogant and conceited.

In contrast, there was nothing special about Selene. She was much like ordinary flowers that blended into the background of sceneries.

The two silhouettes kept crossing Sebastian’s mind. Sabrina, who was always surrounded by men. Yet, even though she was always with different men, Sabrina had admitted to him before that her motives were not impure. Yet, the image that remained in Sebastian’s mind was that of a cold and aloof Sabrina, with her prideful gaze.

Sebastian imagined that was what she had looked like as she took away Kenton’s manhood.

Another image he couldn’t get rid of was that of Sabrina raising her arms to block the daggers meant for Nigel. The same scenes replayed over and over again in Sebastian’s mind.

And Selene?

Selene was the woman who saved his life and had his child. No matter how much he hated her, it was a responsibility that he needed to bear.
