Amber’s POV

I stayed in bed, fighting with my mind and heart whether to call him or text him. I didn’t want him to think of me like a clingy or desperate person.

I picked up my phone to send him a text when my phone dinged at an incoming W******p message.

“Are you still awake?”

I knew my typing speed was not great but still, I tried to reply to him as soon as possible. “No.”

“Still you didn’t find it important to text me? :(  What were you doing then?”

“It’s not like that. I was about to text you. It’s just I didn’t want to disturb you.”, I quickly replied.

I waited for a while for his answer but it never came. Instead, my phone started ringing, showing me the notification of a Video Call.

Without thinking much, I swiped the screen and received the call.

“Wow, you look so different.”, Was the first comment from him.
