The car pulled in front of the house of Vesta's godmother, she unclasped the seat belt and rolled her head to the left to look at the man who turned off the engine.

"Thank you." And she opened the car door.

"Keep my words," he said solemnly as he watched her walk away.

Vesta's hand is on the side of the door, and she stares at Zaiden, waiting for her to say something. She crossed her hands at the back and smiled.

"I keep it," she answered, and was frowned at by a shake in his head.

"I'll be watching you if you don't, Vesta," he warned.

Vesta's brows furrowed and deepened, staring at the man in disbelief, yet she didn't show it to him.

She closed the car door and turned her back to the gate of the house. She didn't turn around. Her ear was listening for him to leave, and she was on the porch when she turned her head. The car was still there, and the window in the front seat was opened. Their eyes met, and Zaiden peered at her seriously.

He meant what he said! She raised her hand
