Looking out the window, I checked the wall clock only to grow even more pressured. It's almost 11pm and yet, Xander is yet to be back with the kids. Yes, I do know he went to pick them up from school but I can't help the budging suspicion. Tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear, I opened the window even more wider and sighed into my palms as I brought both together.

Had something happened with them or they left for somewhere else instead of coming home right away? Had they missed the way oe6- Oh no, that's not possible. Xander has been living here for only God knows so he can't suddenly miss his way, just like that. That's not possible.

All of a sudden, my phone began to ring and I turned around a little, grabbing it in my hand before turning back to on the window and swiping at the receiver. It's an unknown number and even know I shouldn't have answered the call, my instincts screamed out the otherwise to me and I couldn't help it.
