Sixty-two

MELISSA'S POV

Fear gripped me, seeing as he wasn't moving. He had obviously fainted and I had to look for a way to revive him. It was weird seeing Stefan in an helpless state, but at least, I'm grateful he wasn't alone when this happened.

I managed to flag down a cab, and the driver was nice enough to help me carry him into the cab.

"Thank you sir." I said as I sat in the car.

"You are welcome. It's no longer new to us. Many drink until they pass out." The driver said as he started the car.

He had thought Stefan drank to stupor. I couldn't bring myself to tell him he had fainted. I actually didn't know what to do, because in one of the werewolf books I had stumbled upon when I was younger, it was actually risky to take them to the hospital, because the doctors would find out that there was something abnormal about them.

Thankfully, when we got to my house, the driver helped me to take him to my bedroom.

"Thank you so much." I appreciated him and tipped him off at the entrance.
