Audrey appeared more anxious than before and this was the exact opposite of what Nero wanted to happen. To begin with, his sole purpose for speaking to Audrey was to make her feel better. All he wanted was for his master to confide in him in order to lighten her burden; in case the pent-up emotion was weighing her down.

However, from the current looks of it, his probing questions only agitated the other party and made her more stressed than she already was. Thus, the cat no longer said anything afterward lest his words ended up adding to Audrey’s growing anxiety. He was afraid that the more he talked, the more perturbed the other party would become. Of course, it goes without saying that this was the least of his intention right now.
