Chapter 54

We settled down and set up camps preparing fire and another person was cooking. They set up tents all around for us to sleep and store other things.

I tried to help them but they refused claiming that I was their alpha and did not need to do any form of work. I told them that I could help them and they should stop seeing me as only their alpha but as someone they can confide in and talk to. I was not that cold to them, was I?

My tent had already been set up and it was a big tent, it was spacious and wide enough fir me to sleep well and stretch my long legs.

The food was ready after a while and they brought my food. I came out to dine with them fir the first time during this journey and it was a lively dinner. They cracked jokes, talked about the war, and laughed heartily while eating.

It was the deer meat that we killed on the way. Jt was roasted with spices. They also found water that we could drink.
