I searched around for Horace, but there was no sign of him. Running through the stairs, I headed to his study room, where he could probably be working.

I have never seen Gavner vulnerable like he was when he told me how he pleaded with Horace.

I've never known Horace to be a man who would turn his back on his brother, and even though he wouldn't listen to Gavner, I will make sure he listens to me because I would not allow him to send Gavner away just like that.

"You can't send my son away like that."

I heard a voice say something as I slightly pushed the door open. Peeking in, I saw Queen Shiba standing in front of Horace as she pressed her palms together right in front of her face.

My jaw dropped. Never in my life had I thought that I would run into her pleading for her son's sake. Which made me wonder if Horace sent Gavner away not to return any more.

"You make it seem like I've not been speaking to you... I let down my ego just to plead with you, but you aren't bulging."
