Thirty three

RAVEN'S POV:

After the interview, I took a cab and returned home. When I entered the main living room, I noticed it was all quiet, and only two girls were sitting there, deeply engrossed in their chat. Upon seeing me come in, they immediately stopped talking and gave me a once-over. Their expressions seemed to say that they were wondering if I heard everything they were saying.

I didn't anyway, so I just nodded at them in greeting before walking off. But as I walked away, I heard them say, "She must have heard what we said. I don't know what makes her so arrogant. Do you know that she doesn't talk to anybody?"

Then the other responded, "Do you know who she is? I heard the Alpha brought her here."

I didn't expect them to talk about me, especially within my earshot, but I didn't react to it and instead walked up the stairs, heading to my room. When I reached my door, however, I found three girls standing around. Their faces looked rather familiar, but I didn't remember where I met them.
