One Hundred and Twenty-Four

Light snoring drifted in and out of my ears, and my eyelids fluttered open, revealing a dimly lit room. The warmth of the covers cocooned me, and I slowly turned my head to find Seth still sound asleep beside me. His tousled hair and peaceful expression made my heart soften.

But that feeling didn't last long as the events of yesterday rushed back to me. He really hurt me, I couldn't even think straight after that.

I sighed, slipping out of the bed, careful not to wake him and wrapped myself in a robe and quietly left the room.

The jug was empty, and a glass of water was what I needed, and I headed to the kitchen on our floor.

I let out a relieved sigh as I met an empty kitchen, and I walked towards the fridge. Some kitchen staff often stayed back to make breakfast as early as they could for the Royal men, but I made sure to stop that when I became queen.

The Royal men could wait for a few hours before having breakfast. There was no need to stop the ladies from having a good ni
