One ninety one

It was dark. It was cold. It was scary. My feet sunk in strange stuff as I dragged myself through the forest of thing i could not see but I could feel around and sense around me and I hoped they didn't sense me too.

They were blood thirsty, hungry and desperate for murder and blood curling screams amd the terror of mortals.

I could feel their eyes on me, watching, waiting, but not advancing as if I couldn't be more important. Thank Goddess. For some reason I was safe, I felt safe. In the midst of killing creatures, I felt safe.

I made it successfully to the other side, a deserted town, flowing with darkness, and evil. But it wasn't deserted. They were there, watching, waiting, hiding.

But from what? What could scare the people who acted out nightmares?

A pull came from the west, and I followed it slowly, the pebbles digging into my bare feet as I took each slow hesitant step, not sure of what u was going to find at the other side.

What could be pulling me? It felt like home.
