Chapter 57

After meeting Darius there were countless emotions roaming wildly in my mind and carrying them, my lips were curled upwards unintentionally and I returned back.

Jax was awake, doing some work with other wolves. They all stopped when they saw me.

"Where were you?” A wolf asked.

“By the waterfall, I needed to relax my body and mind.” I sighed, turning to leave but the tenderness on my face was clear.

And Jax noticed it.

“You look like you are in an awfully good mood."

"I do? Must be your imagination." Mumbled, I shrugged it off, becoming serious abruptly and went back to my room.

‘Don’t think about it, Athena. Don’t let him become your weakness.’

Mentally scolding myself, I laid down, closing my eyes to fall into darkness.

Hoping it would take me far away from him and his undesirable thoughts.

Later, weeks passed and I was finally healed, my body could move and I was back to work.

"Ah, finally freed. Now I can shift my bind." I beamed, delighted to go back to work.
