Chapter 38 An Unexpected Turn Of Events

Axel's pov

I rapidly blinked my eyes and saw Daniel and only Daniel in the office. He was sitting behind his desk and appeared in a daze.

"Where did Raija go!"

Standing I started tossing the chairs around searching for my mate as my heart raced frantically in my chest.

"Atticus took her the same way he came, that's the only explanation," Daniel shouted. Getting angry with me for ruining his office he restrained me and told me to calm down.

"I'm going to find Sawyer and get him to take me to that asshole's home, no one takes my mate from me," I snarled and quickly stormed from his office and headed to the infirmary. Going directly to Elizabeth's office I pounded on the door.

I could hear feminine laughter coming from within and grew more sour.

"I need to know where Sawyer went," I yelled out.

The door cracked open and a messy-haired doctor answered looking flushed.

"Sawyer is here, he will be out momentarily," she said in a breathy manner causing my brow to raise.
