Rain’s POV

I looked into the eyes of the mother goddess as I stood from the sofa. I walked over towards the moon goddess and asked,” What am I missing here? Why am I a target when I have spent the majority of my life isolated?” The moon goddess stopped her pacing and turned to me with eyes filled with sadness. She walked past me and went straight to her mother and sat down. I watched as Selene reached for her mother’s hand and held it tightly. Theia kissed her daughter’s cheek and looked back at me. “ Come my child and sit next to me and I will answer all your questions. “ Theia said with a sad smile. I walked over and sat down next to her and again looked into her eyes. She took my hand in hers and I immediately felt the combined power of these two goddesses mix perfectly with my own. Confusion hit me. Why did I feel like we shared a family bond? That shouldn’t have happened. I looked to my mate and saw that he had sat forward with his eyebrow raised. I knew that our mate bond was a
