Chapter 57: A Friend Like Angie

Anita and Lauren were sitting on the grass in the park, eating ice cream, and watching the two kids run around the park happily.

"They connect so well, don't they?" Lauren said, looking at Austin and Anna.

"I know, right? Austin wouldn't stop talking about her." Anita laughed.

They both watched the kids in silence for a while, then Lauren asked.

"It must have been hard."

Anita turned to look at her, with her brow raised, wondering what Lauren was referring to.

"I mean raising Austin alone," she said calmly and Anita smiled and leaned back.

*Was it really hard?" she asked herself.

"Honestly, I can imagine how hard it would have really been for me, but someone came through for me. She's an angel in disguise."

Anita's lips curled up, remembering how she had met Angie.

"I met this angel in disguise during my MBA in London, and we are not really close like that. We took an elective together," Anita began, with her face lit up.
