Blood (Part four)

The slaves looked at each other, fear etched on their faces. They were not trained fighters, nor did they have any weapons. How were they supposed to take down a group of rebels?

"Lycan, we're starving," another slave spoke up. "Can we at least have some food before we go?"

Lycan's expression turned dark. "You'll eat when I say you can eat. And right now, I say you need to do your duty to your master."

With that, Lycan turned and walked away, leaving the slaves to their fate. I could see the despair on their faces, and it made my heart ache.

As they began to disperse, I approached them. "Listen, I know this isn't fair. But we need to work together if we're going to get through this."

One of the slaves looked at me sceptically. "And what makes you so different from Lycan? You're a wolf just like him."

I sighed. "I know it may seem that way, but trust me. I'm not like him. I want to help you, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure you're safe."
