Chaos

Benard's pov

My fingers subconsciously played with the rings that had just adorned them. A cloak was resting on my rather lanky frame, weighing me down both figuratively and literally.

I had just been made the Alpha of the North claw. One of the strongest, biggest and surviving packs around. I used to be the beta until few weeks ago.

News reached us that our Alpha's mate, who was about to finish her customary 2 years medical service to her birth pack, was dead. She was slaughtered along with the rest of the pack in a clear genocidal act. Avery was the best thing that ever happened to our alpha, Nolan Wolf. He was broken... shattered to unfixable bits. He hid himself in his Chambers for days, ashamed of the fact that he hadn't been able to protect his soulmate.

I watch my alpha fade away. Succumb to the pain that came with such loss. I watched him drink and cry himself to sleep. I watched him bed endless streams of desperate she-wolves, in an attempt to feel something else. I watched him relent in his training and everything concerning being an Alpha. He didn't listen when the council ordered him to mate multiple willing she-wolves. He was hell bent on spending the rest of his life with Avery.

He ran away like a scared little puppy, with his goddamn tails between his legs. Nobody saw him leave. He didn't even tell me, his beta and best friend. I guess it was expected, since he had always been keeping to himself ever since the incident.

It was when the pack couldn't feel his bond anymore, that the council decided that it was time to replace him. Since he had no heir or siblings, I was the rightful heir....not without challenges though.

Our pack had 5 different alphas with their respective betas. Nolan wasn't just the alpha, he was the supreme alpha in this pack. All the other 5 alphas answer to him and I, as the second in command.

Packs started merging together in an attempt to protect ourselves from the humans. Armed and genocidal humans who have somehow succeeded in wiping out more than half of the population of supernatural species. Alot of species are now either on the brink of extinction, or already long gone ever since. It's been close to forty years and they're still hunting and killing. That will soon change.

Five smaller packs have taken refuge under North claw pack. Nolan's father, the alpha then, took them in and allowed the alphas to retain their title and position. We became bigger and stronger up until now.

I was challenged to the title of Alpha supreme by two alphas and two betas, the rest having no interest in the title. I defeated my opponents with a great deal of effort and worked hard to earn myself this position. Afterall, I also have alpha blood flowing in my veins.

Tonight, the North claw pack had experienced a shift in power. A bonfire was started on my behalf as I had officially become the Alpha supreme. The pack council had helped in performing all the necessary rites, of which I am grateful for. They consist of elderly and powerful wolves who assist the Alpha supreme in his decision making process.

North claw council has a total of 29 wolves.

" Come to bed, Alpha." A sultry voice whispered in my ears, hands roaming my body. Vienna.

" Mmm..  I don't know vee, convince me." I replied, crossing my arms to feign defiance.

She stood on the tip of her toes, planting a sensual kiss to a spot on my neck. I contained my growing excitement as I continue to stare her down, exuding my dominance. She cowered and I smirked inwardly, liking the feel.

The smell of her arousal fills the air around me as another pair of hands roam my body. Another willing she-wolf ready for me to ravish. And ravish I will, because I worked for it.

I lifted the two horny females on both shoulders as I head for the alpha Chambers, my Chambers. Cheering and cat calls filling the chilly night.

Time to get some.

Abigail's POV

Beads of sweat run down my entire body as I take down every one of the men. Today was supposed to be off- day from training but, oh well!

I climbed up a wall into another route of the maze, footsteps hot on my pursuit. These men make too much noise.

One of the men finally took my bait.

" Ha! There she..." I landed a quick flying knee to his temple, knocking him out cold. Knowing that many others will be here too, I got to work. I needed to lure them to me. I took the phone radio thingy from the unconscious soldier and dialled it.

The was a noisy buzzing and static before a soldier spoke on the other end.

" Comm check. Sweep team Donald. Do you copy?" A raspy voice inquired.

No reply.

" Sweep team Donald. Do you read me? Any eyes on the prize?" He continued.

The prize? I smirked.

" Donald Floyd, answer the fucking phone." He yelled.

No reply... again.

At this point, steam had to be coming out of his ears. I mean, come on!

I whistled into the phone. A tune of my favorite childhood lullaby...not my best idea, but it does the trick.

"Shit.. it's her!!" The voice suddenly shrieked like a goddamn sissy, making me pull away from the phone.

I could hear shufflings and scampering sounds from the other end as I absent mindedly crushed the phone with my metal grip...for extra effect, continued my whistling, and adding a little dance move.

Now, I know where they are and where they'll likely head to. Pussies!

I would have booby trapped the whole place if I had the time...screw it! Where's the fun in that?

" Ahem!" I cleared my throat loudly to get the attention of two of the men. They were tense and sweaty, making me wonder how they didn't still hear me approach.

They all suddenly turned to me, cocking their and brandishing their weapons. I smirked, flexing my one good arm.

I suddenly made a dash for the trees as they opened fire.... So predictable, these men.

They Soon exhausted their ammo, eyeing their sorroundings in a panic. I don't know how possible, but my smirk got bigger.

Leaving my hiding spot, I made a dash towards them. Ramming into one of them with a brutal force and making him roll down a bumpy slope.

I looked towards the other one, who had pulled out a taser and started attempting to "shoo" me away.

" Don't you dare come closer girl, I'm warning you." He muttered, his voice an octave higher.

I raised my hands up in mock surrender, aggravating him further.

He suddenly looked down the slope, where his friend just lay motionless. I certainly hope he isn't dead.

Taking advantage of my momentary distraction, he swung his taser at my face, trying to get a cheap hit. I barely dodged it...damn.

I grabbed his hand and twisted it, eliciting a scream from him. I cringed.

Grabbing him by his hair, I shoved his face hard into the bark of a nearby tree... Out cold.

By now, the others would have been where I want them to be. If my calculations are correct, there should be about 10 more men remaining.

I started running at my highest speed towards the exit of the maze, jumping over obstacles and landing gracefully every single time. What can I say? I'm a freaking badass.

Along the way, I took down men who came at me with clubs, knives and more tasers. Evading and blocking their attacks and delivering mine, twice as hard.

I finally reached the exit point, where a heavily armoured figure stood, blocking the doorway.

"Chaos" as he was fondly called by my father's men. His Identity is unknown, as he is never sighted without his mask. I have my guesses though.

I came to a slow halt as I approached his towering figure. All clad up in dark colored leather, with combats boots to match. I think he has great taste too.

Suddenly, he reached for his masked face. I gasped, knowing immediately of his intentions. He doesn't just unmask in front of anyone. There were cases of men who he'd killed just because they saw his face. Seeing his face was a death sentence.

If Chaos was willingly allowing me to see his face, it could only mean...

Something large and fast collided with my body, cutting me off from my train of thoughts. My body hit the bare ground, while rolling multiple times... Talk about taste of my own medicine. A small groan left my lips as I registered what happened.

I must have been hit so hard because my vision was a mess. I knew that standing up immediately would get me killed. I had just been attacked by a very angry wolf...if they're all not always angry.

My father has been keeping a couple of these rabid creatures around the maze lately. The maze is supposed to be a place for training, so I wonder what the creatures were doing here when he clearly told me they were for "medical research".

The wolf snarled as it approached me slowly, it's fangs bared and it's hackles raised. Definitely hates me.

I know a few things about man-eating  wolves, as my father would call them. Apart from their size and their strength, they're freaking strong. You wouldn't want to go toe-to-toe with these creatures, I had to be smart. I'd killed alot of these creatures before... Something I was thought by my parents.

The dark brown wolf finally hovered over my motionless body, making me wonder if it was really buying the idea that I'm unconscious, since I wasn't exactly staying still.

I was really shitty at using knives, so I had to use the closest thing I've got. I quickly reached out for it's throat, left open before me.

Before the wolf had time to react, I had his neck in my grip. Squeezing with all the force in my bionic arm...one of my lethal moves, I call it "metal choke"..... You try coming up with a better name for it.

The wolf yelped and tried to break free from my grasp, as if sensing the impending doom. It's body slowly lowered, collapsing on mine. It was loosing strength. It's eyes watered as it made some really feeble snapping of it's jaw.

In a swift movement, I snapped it's neck, tossing the body aside as I stood up from the damn floor. I winced when spotted a really deep claw mark on my thighs, dripping blood. Ha! Got me after all. Guess those high slit gowns will have to wait, ugh!

The damn creature even ripped my favorite jeans.

Now, for that sick fucker! I'll make sure I have his head.

I quickly re-tied my unruly hair into a big bun. I had to get a haircut soon... probably pixie or something.

I ran towards Chaos's direction. He sure knows how to play dirty, I'll give him that.

" Looking for me, Abby? " A familiar voice called out from somewhere behind me. It was a voice I knew too well. My older brother, Fernando.

Dots started connecting in my head.

Emerging from somewhere in the woods, I squinted my eyes to clearly see the face of my brother, as he discarded the mask.

" Hello! Little sister." He grinned mischievously.

Crap!
