Abigail's pov

This was my third escape attempt today and Hazel was having some real fun watching me try. She never really did much to stop me, only watching me get more frustrated after every attempt.

I gritted my teeth as ran past numerous trees, stumps and boulders. They didn't call this place the Burning woods for nothing; most of the trees were literally burnt.

I've always felt like a confrontation with the White wolf wouldn't do me any harm. However in the light of recent events, I don't think I'd even be able to survive his stare. I even just found out it's a male! I know that's not supposed to matter but what if it does? What if he was just keeping me here, so he can kill me himself when I wake up? I mean he really has no reason to want me alive.
