Valerie's POV

Leaving the garden I decided to head to the training field and probably talk to Wesley about this, but remembering what happened on our way here, I turned around sharply, deciding to head into the packhouse.

I stopped right on my tracks as soon as I stepped into the living room filled with loud chattering of a group of women sitting there with the Luna, Wesley's mother. As soon as they noticed me, they stopped talking, fixing their whole attention on me.

"Oh, this is Valerie, Wesley's mate." She introduced me with a disappointing look on her face, obviously in a way like it disappointed her that I chose to stay with Wesley. It's still quite surprising how a parent could channel so much hate to her child, very confusing. "You must've seen her with him at the banquet night."
