CHAPTER SEVENTY ONE

Sighting a figure tied up in a chair which he was sure was Claude even though she had her hair down. He tried not to imagine the negative at the sight of her unmoving body, an raced to her but before he could reach her, he was two men suddenly jumped on him, each pulling an arm of his to the back.

He groaned in pain as he hit the ground but gathered himself up quickly grabbing one of the men and flinging him away. The other one put up a stronger fight but he managed to beat him before continuing to go to Claude. Her head was raised now and she looked at him with eyes that have obviously shed a lot of tears. His eyes hardened as anger filled him at these Savages who had captured her, and for what?

Pulling out his pocket knife, he began to cut the ropes but he had only cut the ropes off one of her wrists when the villagers attacked him again. Dropping the knife on Claude’s lap, he faced the throng of men with the heightened anger he now felt at the sight of Claude’s state.
